I use wordpress for my blogs (wordpress hosted blogs and standalone blogs on my webspace) and I´m happy with it. I think it´s very easy to use and you can setup a new blog within a few minutes.

I prefer blogger coz there's nothing complex involved in there. If offers you flexibility with ease and even a person who do not know any kind of html can operate there. Wordpress on the other hand is quiet difficult for laymen.

Wordpress .
Initially, Blogger/blogspot to learn blogging and the technicalities.
Self hosted Word press is the best any day.

I use both blogger & wordpress. No comments for typepads as I have not used them before.
Blogger is easy for the very newbies... You do not need much knowledge and it is very simple to install.
For wordpress, though it comes with more widgets, it is still a nightmare to use especially when one is brand new to the world of the internet... especially if you are using a self-hosted version.

I'm an All time Blogger User here. I find it more easy to used than Wordpress. In addition to that, Blogger is not so strict like Wordpress. I have lot of friends being banned in Wordpres.

I 've also tried blogger
so i got to say blogger blogs are always hosted on blogger where if you have your own hosting you can host your wordpress blog on your hosting itself. That means that all the complexity of linking to an externally hosted blog is gone if you use wordpress and you have as much control over your wordpress blog as you do over the rest of your site

Basically there are 2 types of Wordpress:- Wordpress.com & Wordpress.org
Wordpress.com is similar to Blogger where there is free hosting provided. However there have been instances where such blogs have been shut down
Wordpress.org is the blog that most professionals use as they can host their blog on their own and have no worries about their blogs being shut down.
I started off with Blogger. Found it really simple to use and learn on my own.
When I started using self-hosted Wordpress, I was having a hard time understanding what all the widgets were all about. Fortunately, I had someone willing to show me the ropes.
Find that once you understand the functions of Wordpress, it is great to use especially with the various functions available. However, without knowing how to use the various functions, it can be a nightmare for some.
