Undeniably, it's Wordpress.

Because,

Plugins, Themes(dont they look too professional?) and extensive support.

And, yeah, 5 minute installations from webhosting providers.

good reading this.. I forgot there was actually an alternative to Wordpress!!

I think its so convenient as it is part of any basic servers Fantastico software bundle.

Yes, I believe that is the general consensus... Start with blogger & learn the ropes... then move on to wordpress and self-hosted blogs...

Even my vote goes for Wordpress, easy to setup, upgrade and have many helpful plugins, attractive themes excellent community support and many more.....
I have even tried Joomla but its not as easy as Wordpress is !!!

Yeah, Wordpress rocks
Joomla seems to have few security issues and hence most webmaster avoid using it this is also the reason i avoid it.

My favourite blog platform would definitely be WordPress. There's a ton of plugins out there, free templates, etc. WordPress is a very simple blogging software that anyone can easily understand and user. You can't go wrong with WordPress.
