Question Wordpress help
Currently my main page shows all the complete posts. I want it to show only a part of the post and then a link to the remaining part as "Read More". Is that possible in wordpress by making some configuration changes or is there some plugin which has to be used?

Also can I limit the number of posts to be shown on the index page?

yuo basically put <!--more--> at the point you want the link to appear. Although the above suggests people have had some problems with it.

For limiting number of the posts go to wordpress admin panel, click options, click reading and under

Blog Pages:
Show at most: XX posts


change the number of the posts showing at the front page.

yes use <more> tag.. Its already available in wysiwyg editor

In the write screen portion of the dashboard one of the icons on top has a post 'break' point where it will automatically separate the post wherever you insert it. No need to memorize the <tag> then.
