Word/Image Verification Tools for WP?
I'm getting sick of 100 spam comments per day on my blog. Anyone know of a good captcha tool or anything like that for WP?

Doesn't WP have an IP block feature?

I used to receive many/day at arcon5.com and it seems to work a treat.

Wordpress comes with Akismet. You have to activate it in the plugins section of your blog. You do need to have a WordPress API key which you get by signing up for a WordPress.com blog.

If you are running WordPress 2.1 check this page to make sure the plugin you choose is compatible.

Yes, I thought so... doesn't that just filter it? I'm going to go run through my dashboard again. I have it set up so all first time messages have to be approved... so I end up having to go through the spam anyways to find legit messages.

Askimet will sort the spam problem Dustin. It's far the best spam filter out there for blogs, and you have no need to put a captcha on the blog then. I hate them captcha's I just want to leave comments not get through Alcatraz
