Topics to Blog About

What ways have you found that help you come up with (or choose) topics to blog about?

My "fun" blog is about music, specifically house music.
I grew up listening to it, and was on the "front lines" sort o speak, growing up in Detroit, (the birthplace of Techno - no arguments please from those under 30).
So far I don't have a hard time finding topics that relate to House...my problem is keeping them short.

I have a few things planned for it that are going to be "Sweet"...(sorry, I can't share the secrets).
Since it is such a big part of my life, and I have followed , listened, downloaded, House music for years, I could probably write about it, or things that relate to it,and clubbing for years to come.

Write about things that interest you or things that you have a good understanding and knowledge.

If it's a personal blog I write what ever topics that come into my mind. But if my blog has specific topics I post related topics that I think that will caught the readers attention.

for me it'll be what really interest me...right now i'm focused on my television shows blog but later i'll come up with my movie blog...hehehe...i actually listed some of the movies i might create article for my blog...

as for me, i love blogging about the myself or the things happening to my life since it is a personal blog.

It is always easier to maintain personal blogs since you are free to post what ever you want about you!

I set-up Google Alerts for each of my niche so its easier to see what other people are saying. Brings lots of ideas for new posts.

I do blog on things that I know very well. This is one of the key factors to make your blog successful.

I usually write about history, nature, and music. But only about things that I know very well. Otherwise I would find myself copying from another article and I don't support doing that.

I look at the news affecting the industry I blog in and then write a blog post based on this. Sometimes being a little controversial can really help you blog, get more comments and user participation.

Someone once told me that the surest way to true success was to find something that I absolutely love doing, and then find a way to make a living doing it. It was without a doubt the best business advice I ever received.

By following this advice, I have found that I deal with fewer issues with my websites and blogs. This includes coming up with things to write about, because the primary topics are things I am absolutely passionate about, so I never tire of discussing them!

Do a Google News search for keywords related to your blog. You should find some timely, specific, and interesting topics to blog about.

I am soooo combining all the elements of the things I love most about life, right this second.

If I can pull it off it will be nice to be completely passionate, and do it my way.

Life. What else do you need? Everyone bulges with interesting stories, anecdotes, and histrionics that can get translated into nice, neat pieces. No one, when prompted the right way, is boring. Just asking people about their experiences, and hiding the names of the innocents, usually provides a plethora of blog goo to smear for weeks.

I mainly blog about myself, personal things and others include sports views and movie release reviews etc

There are also other topics which i blog about but the most interesting things are the one i mentioned above.
