I love blogging! I've been blogging since June 2003 (link removed) and have only been exploring monetising options since around 6 months ago.

Luckily my day job means I don't need to make money off blogging, so I can just keep doing it as a hobby. If any money comes in, it helps pay for hosting and other ancillary stuff so that my hobby doesn't cost my family anything. Who knows .. it may even pay for a holiday one day.

I agree with Cricket above, if you're passionate about something, you're bound to be successful at it. And if someone wants to pay you to do it .. well .. lucky you!

Me .. I'm paid to mess around with computers all day .. how great is that ?

I enjoy blogging for free. I don't really enjoy paid posting. It works and creates supplemental income, but I don't really like as much as just blogging to see myself talk....

I've been doing 2 or 3 posts a day recently. Granted, that's because some of them had an extra incentive, but I still managed to get my thoughts into all of that in a way that I don't think would have come out otherwise.

I have been in love with writing ever since I could write. I love it. I have such varied interests, however, that it is hard to stick to blogging about just one thing. When I have to blog about the same thing over and over again, it gets old really fast.

When I write stuff I'm not that familiar with, I learn so many things also, which is fun. I know all kinds of weird stuff as a result, and it just sticks in my head. So, anyways, I guess blogging is an outlet for my passion to write. But yes, there is the occasion when I have to write about something I'm not so enthused about, and then it becomes a bit of a pain.

I have various blogs and I do enjoy updating the ones I update regularly. Others are pretty much on auto (because of the articles and such I wrote long ago for them). SO, when I get bored, I just write up a whole buncha articles, schedule it over time and move on to the ones I like.

I really only started a blog because I had a free domain name from a host. After awhile I started enjoying blogging. I gained a few regular readers and it became a chore to keep content fresh, in order to keep people coming back. The wind up was, I started posting jokes and other junk stuff as feed filler.

I'm pretty sure that by now, I've lost all my regulars but it's not that big of a deal to me. My blog is just that my blog, read it and like it good. Read it and think I'm the most horrible person in the world, oh well find another blog to read.

Once it became a chore, it all went down hill. I haven't actually blogged in a couple of months, just copy/paste jokes. I'm sure once I start working; I'll have something more to talk about and get back into it.

My interest in blogging goes in glacial stages: I'm into it for 2 weeks then bored with it for 4. Then I'm into it again for 2 weeks and bored with it for 5. I try not to post things simply for the sake of posting them. This can result in "anxiety" posts that seem written for the sake of an update (e.g., "Boy do I need a new toothbrush!"). Avoid these like anaconda-infested potholes and blogging will become a much more rewarding endeavor. You will swoon as you type. Really. Swoon. I said swoon.

I don't necessarily enjoy blogging, and I do admit I started blogging specifically to make money, and because I simply enjoy being on my computer.

...but, I love posting something helpful on a blog and getting huge reactions from it, and sometimes just coming up with the articles is fun
