I used to do it out of boredom/love/a need to rant. I ran a personal website, some forums, a few blogs here and there... then someone came up to me and said "Why don't you make money from it?" and my personal integrity has kinda gone downhill since I became a 'sellout'. My bank account isn't complaining though

I spend a lot of time writing articles - where most of the material comes from something that's happened during the day - and spent most of the time posting in article directories. Upon discovery of blogging - some moons ago - it was a surprise and delight to see how very easily (and quickly) one's words can go up and out.

So to answer the question... do I love to blog? My reason is just like many others, by posting you create content which creates backlinks which hopefully drives visitors, etc., etc.

However, the child part of me is just thrilled when I hit PUBLISH that voila! there I am - even if no one reads a single word LOL! My 15 minutes of fame

Blogging can improve your knowledge not only for configuring your blog itself but also for dealing other people to do some negotiation especially requesting link exchange. It can also improve your communication skills by writing an article. That's why I love blogging.

i Do for self amusement as well as for sharing my views with the relevant community ..apart from that if i say that i don't blog for money then i'll infect lie to myself ,because for promoting blog you have to buy some good links as well as good advertizements ..so the main think is that everyone do blog for money as well as for sharing views .....thats it !!

I used to run a gadget blog and I love technology so I always loved researching new stuff and blogging about them.

I ran out of time for it unfortunately. But I always blogged because I liked to, not because of the money.

sometimes, I am really pumped up and really enjoy blogging, other times it seems like a chore and I wonder if I'm actually doing anything worthy or accomplishing a goal with my blog. Maybe if I make a buck or two or some sort of great publicity job happens I'll love to blog!

I can't get over the feeling of community when I really blog though. It's a nice warm fuzzy feeling.
