newbie looking for a good free wordpress host

Ahoy! Im looking for a good free web host that can host word press.

The trouble with wordpress.com`s hosting is that you cant do plugins and that sorta thing.

Any suggestions?

Which one do you want: a free web host (you can later install wordpress there), or a free wordpress host?

I think you can go with any of the two. But if you want more flexibility, I guess getting a free web host is the way to go. If the host has Fantastico, you can install wordpress in a matter of clicks, and you can gain full access to the backend (uploading themes & plugins, MySQL database, etc). I am hosted in Liway.com right now, which is a 'free' web host - erm not completely free, because you have to post in the forums. I guess any other free web hosts that support PHP can do.

If you want a free webhost, that supports wordpress installation.. You can try freehostia.com.. you'll only get a free subdomain though.. but bannerless..
