Why People Blog?

why people blog? does that make money for them? Is it for money or its a good habit?

For sharing our experiences, idea, Knowledge and establish communication with specific readers, Blogging tend to be a lovely console for strangers and so on good source of traffic.

Why not? You get to write what you want and don't have to worry about the coding back end of things. It's a lot easier to blog than to make a more traditional site. You don't have to host it yourself, you don't have to have any idea how the scripts actually work.

It's my editorial page. Everywhere else, I post information or links to information. Even on my forum, I try to be balanced in discussing various issues.

On my blog, it's just me. I say what I think without trying to be fair to opposing viewpoints. It's my opinion piece. And sometimes my space to rant a bit.

where do you guys start? do you have separate domain for your blogs or you post freely available blogsites like blogspot ...?

I have several blogs which are on separate domains, and in some cases subdomains.

I originally started with Blogger because I had no idea what I was going to do with it. Then I installed WordPress to my own site and set up the blog as a subdomain.

I think the free hosting sites are fine while you experiment with how it all works and to see which software you prefer. If it starts to evolve into something a little more substantial, you'll probably want the additional control hosting it yourself offers.

I blog because I love Dance Music and I think everyone else should love it too, Besides it keeps me up to date on what is happening in the industry , and where to find the good tracks.

I don't think I could blog about just anything, even work related, I would get bored in about a week.
I wish i could be all existentialist (Holy crap, I spelled that right?), and say, "I blog, therefore I am."
It's more like, I turn on some music and I have to blog.

It's easy, sometimes too easy. I can get an idea for something to write about and go code the whole page for it and get that up, redo the links on my home page, and upload everything. Or, I can type something in my blog and publish it. Which would you rather do?

i set up my blog on blogger and then used web forwarding on my domain to forward all traffic to my blogger page.

it works really well and I get quite a few visitors each day.

i do it because it's straight-forward, you can write about essentially anything you like (video games and technology in my case) and it's nice to check it each day to see if anyone else has looked at it and made any comments.

People blog as to share their knowledge and skills about specific topic. We can generate money for your blog through using adsense or adwords. Blogging is used also as to boost traffic for the site

I find that some people blog because of interest, whereas other people blog because of money. Especially if you are full-time blogger, e.g. CG, or part-time blogger, e.g. NH,... it may mean monthly salary or income to you.

I blog for the metaphysical thrill of it...

Actually, I think most people blog because it provides an outlet. Finally we can put our thoughts and lives into a medium wherein anyone suitably decked out technologically can read and comment on them. It's the commoner's way to publishing without the annoying editors and tiny royalties. How many diaries now live online that used to live under the bed? Blogging has an empowering aspect for those who don't really have a voice in the world, which includes most of us.
