I tried to my radio site with a regular site. But I ended up setting the thing up blog style anyway, right down to having a box for the most recent shows. It just made sense to switch over to a real blog so I wouldn't have to do all of that coding every time I wanted to add something.

What I like most about a blog, is it has that,"I can do it my way" kind of feel to it.
If you see a blog by someone that really knows their sh*t, it tends to go into more depth than a corp website, and end up a little more entertaining.
Besides for SEO you can't beat it.

for me its a way to combine personal interest and earning an extra income at the same time.

its also quite fulfilling becos it forces me to learn a lot of things i normally wouldn't know. I learn a lot in the process of fixing bugs or tweaking my blog template
