You're going to get a lot of people saying Wordpress. And for good reason, it's just good. It has a wide variety of themes available, and some of the best support for a free program that I've ever seen.

One reason that I think Wordpress works for this is the ability to have your adsense code show up between posts, in the sidebar, or pretty much anywhere you would want it.

Because you can do whatever you like with the themes, make them break them, add plugins, make them, spam comments do whatever...its even better than a normal website..

If you can afford buying hosting and domain then go in for blogger or blogdrive

Thank you for your good advice. Right now I use the free blogger but I am starting to get some domain/hosting blogs on wordpress. Trying to learn how to set up right now. Many thanks!
