Need help getting my new blog presentable

So if you have been in the Website Reviews section lately, you can see that I am starting up my new project, [link removed]. Thanks to many people here, it is about 99% complete.

I now started a blog at http://www.missionenvironment.com/blog/. I am using Wordpress. I chose a theme I thought would be easy to customize and was along the same lines of what I wanted my blog to be.

I need suggestions on what to do, mainly with everything on the right menu that I have no idea what it is and if I need to get rid of it or need to expand upon it. Also, I need to work on the header, so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

I am starting to hate this blog theme. Do you think I need to customize it more or should I ditch this theme and find a new one?

The themes nice, i like it and suits your niche although im sure there are better ones. Remember most themes look bad until they are filled with content and images so just keep going and it will begin to look better. Of course if you do hate it it's easy to change.

Here is my opinion:

I think the blog theme looks very nice keep it. I would move the sidebar from the right side to the left side. Its almost a standard now a days. There was a thread a while ago called "top 10 things users hate" and right sidebars was on it.

I would remove the Meta area in your sidebar. Its probably pointless for your blog. I would also switch the position of the categories & archive listings.

Thats just my opinion though.

To move the sidebar to the left side, is there an option I can change in the admin panel or do I have to manually edit the template?

Also, I couldnt figure out how to delete the Meta area. Yes I did search the userguide.

Remove it from the sidebar template.

You can't adjust things like that in the admin panel unfortunately. To switch the locations of your sidebar and content area you will probably need to edit your css stylesheet.

To modify the menu just open up the sidebar.php file in your template directory with notepad or some other text edit. You will be able to move stuff around.

Just make sure that you make a backup copy in case you screw something up.

It is a nice theme but you need used another wordpress template that is presentable .

I updated the header to look a little cleaner. I am also working on more blogging topics. Any other advice?
