Need help on the latest blog setting
Hi everyone,
Wondering who is experienced with the latest blog setting on this forum
I was trying to update my profile here on this forum with the latest blog.
First I successfuly saved my latest blog URL in my profile. After that I noticed the error message for the "latest blog": "[CaRP] XML error: mismatched tag at line 382" on every posting I made on this forum. Take a look at the left side of this posting to see it below my name.
I think that I could make mistake while doing set up.
Please correct me if did the wrong procedures.
First I went to "Edit Profile", then pasted the url for my latest blog on the bottom of the page as http://supreme-clothing.blogspot.com/ and then saved it.
Wondering, what was wrong, why it gives me an error?
Any help is very appreciated.
Have a great day,
Peter

My post truncated the URL to your feed, so make sure to click the link so you have the full URL.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
Sorry, I didn't get it. Can you please clarify what could be my full URL, and what link should I click to get it? I would very appreciate if you lead me step by step.
You say I entered the URL of my blog, rather than my feed. Sorry, I didn't get it, what do you mean by feed? Where should I enter my feed and how it should look like? When you say my feed is "http://supreme-clothing.blogspot.com.../posts/default
", what should I put instead of "..." after ".com"
Another words how I should transform my blog URL into my feed?
Thank you for helping.
Have a great day,
Peter

The URL that you enter has to be the URL of your blog feed. If you click on the link that I gave you previously, it goes to your blog feed, then you can just copy and pasted the URL from the address bar.

Thank you again,
I clicked on the link you previousely provided, and it gave me the following in URL address:
Then I copied and pasted it info the text box for the "External Blog" within "Edit Profile". After that I checked how it looks like on my postings. Instead of showing an error it shows "None" and my blog is not listed. May be I'm doing anything wrong again.
Very appreciate your help!
Have a great day,
Peter

Unless someone with Blogger has another idea, for Blogspot blogs, it sounds like you will need to use Feedburner to get a standard feed URL then. http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/home

Anyway, thanks for helping
I tryed feedburner tool, but it makes a feed with "feedburner.com", "http://feeds.feedburner.com/TipsForBuyingSupremeClothing". I need a feed with "blogspot.com" May be I need to figure it out how "blogspot.com" can burn the feed.
If anyone else might help, that would be very appreciated.
Have a great day,
Peter

Looking throught the previous threads concerning this issue, it appears that FeedBurner may be your only option for your particular blog, in terms of having it show up as your latest post.

Wondering, if I created burn with "feedburner.com" having feed as "http://feeds.feedburner.com/TipsForBuyingSupremeClothing", that page will have the same content as the original "http://supreme-clothing.blogspot.com/". So, it becomes a duplicate now, is it correct? As far as I know search engines, especially Google, don't like duplicates. So, what happened now, the original and the feed will reduce their PageRanking due to the duplicate content.
Here is a question, why do we need to create feed if the original content is already stored in the file with valid URL. Why can't we use the original blog as a source for the latest blog? Silly question, can anyone clarify it?
Have a great day,
Peter

Because there are people who will read your blog only through their RSS reader. In the case of this group though, it is only shown through your RSS feed. You have feeds now. They just use the wrong format to be displayed here.
You can read more about RSS here.

Sometimes I feel I have to be very smart to understant all those concepts. Still didn't get it, was my question about duplicates answered or not? Are the feed page and the original blog page with the same content considered as one page only with different URLs, or there are two pages with the same content will be considered as duplicates? Please, tell me if I'm not clear.
Have a great day,
Peter
