Blogs are a revolution helping people speak out. And they want them to use blogger and other waste scripts now? People can say about that leader through other websites and social networking sites too...Man I hate this.

Even here in India the government is thinking of banning orkut coz people use their "freedom of speech"

Well, m' not that knowledgeable but I think proxies can solve the WP very well, not fully but to some extent, and as far as the censor thing at Google and Yahoo is concerned can't off searching a US datacenter help?

is it really possible to "ban" a blog site on a certain country. i have friend from the States said that his blog (WP) as well as his website was banned in China (he was in China recently and he posted that incident when he got back from the States).

I'm from turkey. Wordpress.com is working no problem now. It was banned but not now. Problem was not freedom of speech or something else. Some of people was sharing warez mp3 because of that turkish government banned it . I'm not defending but this was the problem . Now problem solved and everyone from turkey can enter to wordpress.com without problem

Hey Snare i think this was the problem of freedom of speech only. Why turkish gov baned the warez mp3 it is not fare.
