Blogging may not be for everyone
I do have a blog. It is my first blog and I really enjoyed writing the content. But, recently I met someone who is doing very well with his business and has never used blogging or article submissions. His reason is he is not good at it and does not enjoy it. But, despite this, he is doing well with his business. His network marketing style is primarily one thing, posting to forums. That's it. He also told me that he posts to forums almost every day; so I think that this is key. Last week he had 19 people come into his business and this is only his second week of involvement with this business. My point is, blogging is not for everyone. If you can't blog and don't want to blog, there are other means of online marketing that do work; just be sure you are consistent with it.

Blogging is for all, but accepting it as a marketing medium or just blogging about your thoughts is all what depends on individual's own intention. Like everyone is free to acquire any medium of communication and exposure, but this is what rocking in contemporary times.

If you're not good at blogging you can always use free articles from article directories for content. Some people actually use parts of articles from other blogs to help them get more visitors from Google.

Blogging is for all, however it depends upon you which direction and how successfully you lead it, some bloggers just write few posts and leave it unattended..and few of them really have no direction, for them really there is no use.

I'm a fan of using every possible tool available to me, whether it's overly successful or not. To me 1 visitor is one visitor, so I try and do a lil bit of everything.
Also, blogging is like everything else, it takes practice to get good.

actually it depends on the users. most of us use "both" but some people are more comfortable having live conversations on forums despite that blog has comment box.

I enjoy blogging. Sometimes, it is the content I struggle with only because I am a perfectionist. I want my writing to display good grammer and to be well received and helpful. I am very familiar with the topic, but I try to take into consideration the expectations of my audience and that is where my battle begins and ends. I know I am just learning and as cldnails says, with practice, I and others should see some improvement.

This thread ( http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/...tml#post697687 ) also talks about how blogging can be beneficial & how to use a blog in a cross marketing campaign to aid in your primary site promotion.
You might find it interesting.

So you use both blogging and forum posting as a means of marketing your agency, The Scorpion Agency? Is it working Scorpionagency. It must be if you actually have an established firm.

Actually we use Both Off line & Online marketing mediums, including but not limited to:
Offline:
1.) Local advertising efforts - Local newspapers, school bulletin advertising, local publications, local communities, etc.
2.) Sales Promotions - Monthly sales promotions & events plus the advertising & sales materials that support them.
3.) Direct Marketing - Distribution of door hangers, flyer's, business cards, direct mail, post cards, etc.
4.) Support or sponsorship of local community & charity programs or events.
Online:
1.)Blogging
2.)Community profiles
3.)Link exchanges
4.)Banner exchanges
5.)Classified ads
6.)Directory listings
7.)Targeted Product/Service pages linked in your main site footer
8.)guest books
9.)Paid (PPC) - Pay Per Click, (PPS) - Pay Per Sale, (PPI) - Pay Per Impression, Etc....
10.)Paid Banner ads, Listings, Submissions, Etc...
11.)(SEO) Search Engine Optimization
12.)And MORE!

I hope you don't mind scorpionagency, I copied your methods you listed in your post and saved it to a file. I will look more into this soon. I too started offline marketing; newspaper ads. Soon will be doing post cards and business cards. Pay per click will have to wait. Too costly for now. Thank you for sharing...
