Old Blog, New Site
I currently have a blog on Blogger, but I am designing a new site elsewhere. I intend on maintaining the blog (and past posts) as part of the new site.
What is the best way to go about this? - Keep my blog on Blogger, updating posts through my existing dashboard and using some sort of RSS-to-post script. I've used Feedburner's in the past, but I'm certain there are better options - which works best?
- Get Wordpress, and (somehow) import my old entries from Blogger into Wordpress. What would be the best way to do this? Also, this would mean I would have to template my site design, which might be work.
I don't care about SEO - it's a personal blog with no desire for ads or making money. What are your opinions from past experience?

WordPress from what I hear has quite a few different importers for importing your blog posts from other services. I don't know how difficult the process is as I have never gone through it before, but from what I've heard, it's not too difficult.

Personally I would move to WordPress and import the old posts.

Wordpress has a blogger import right from WP's dashboard. I'd move to WP this way you control the site, database and can do any kind of add-ons you want.

I'll be putting it on my own webspace, when I find some.
I've used typepad templates for a former employer before. Is it very similar?

I'd go with Wordpress too. It just has so many advantages. There is an add on for just about everything!

Now just to find my way around the template... I think I need my webspace before I get around to doing that.

I think moving to Wordpress is your best option. I started out on Blogger myself.
