Real Blog Tips For Real Bloggers

Hi guys I have been reading this forum for a while now, I figure I should sign up and write a quick post for some of you who have questions.

I have many years of experience in making money both with Website and Blogs.

I have come to learn that each blog is different,for example I have a new blog that has a 0 page rank, and makes over $1000 per month

I also receive 9000 unique visitors per day, 60% from search engines.
And guess what... I only have 37 Back links to my site. This is a rare thing but now you know page rank is not everything
onto the tips.

A lot of you ask questions like:
how do I get more traffic to my site? here are a few things you can try

1. Blog directories do a Google search and type this in (list of blog directories)
both the first and second page of Google will give you sites that have a huge list of blog directories.
Once you get the list go to each of the free directories and sign up. (yes every single one of them),
some of the directories require a link back.

2. RSS Directories Do the same steps as above go to Google and type in RSS feed directories.

I assume you already have set up a RSS feed, if no go to feedburner and set one up.

3. Link exchange, you need to have a name the Internet, you cannot rely
on Google to do this for you, do a Google search and find out what sites are similar to yours and email them, ask them to exchange links with you. (you can also look for companys that provide free one way link exchanges)

4. Write eye catching topics for your posts....Use your keywords,
if your blogging about a new toy for example make your post title
Stand out like this (New Toy Makes News Headlines) <----yea your headlines :-)

5. Set up Social Bookmarking tabs on your site, set them up so they are on the bottom of everyone of your posts, make sure to include stumble upon in your collection of social book marks.

6. Niche I am 100% positive when I say find a niche and stick with it,
find one thing you like sports,tech,news,reviews, etc and stick with it.

Do not post topics about a million different things...Otherwise what the heck is your blog really about? I am confused and so is everyone else who comes to your blog. We are leaving...Goodbye...You just lost all your visitors.

Your blog will fail if you blog about to many topics.

Well, I don't know what are the basis on which this conclusion have been made, but I really do not agree. Blogging about variety is not bad if you've enough command over the topic you're writing on. I've +25 categories in one of my blog and they all are very well managed with a good number of readers. Blogging about many things is bad only when you don't have command over the subject and you're not interested in researching the topic.

The tips I give are all from experience, I would not give advice to you If I have not done it myself first...
