Help getting error message when I go to my site

hello all,

Please help me. I am getting the following error message when I try to go to my site and I dont know how to fix it.

When I try to go to my site or log on to my admin panel, I get the following error. Does anyone know how I can correct this?

* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?

Your blog cannot communicate with your database.

To solve this, either re-install your wordpress blog or contact the person who installed it for you or contact your host. You could also check with the people at wordpress.org
