Would Drupal make a good blogging system?

Most bloggers are using Wordpress nowadays, why is that so?

Would Drupal make a good blogging system on the other hand?

according to me,the drupal is very slow about flexibility, because wordpress is very easy to use and create new content or categories..there is lot os plugin for diffirent purposes also..

because of this,I think drupal would not make a good blogging system..

Drupal all the way for me. Depending on what you are trying to do. Drupal is very modular and extremely expandable to endless designs and possibilities, also all the plug ins and ad-ons are free.

Wordpress is much easier to use and add content. you do not have to know anything about any kind of code to have a wordpress blog.

Drupal can later on be converted from just a blog to a online store, forum, directory, website or combination. All it takes is installing a new module.

it all comes down to what are you trying to accomplish now and what are your future plans.

Wordpress rocks. Makes everything simple.

WP is built as a blogging managment system. That's all it does and it does it pretty well.

Sabrina,

It depends on how proficient you are in basic coding. In terms of flexibility, Drupal is by far the most powerful and most flexible. However, if you are stuck at a certain code how do you find help? This should be your primary concern. If you're good at coding, fine!

Wodpress on the other hand has numerous of templates and support groups as well as forums circulating throughout the web where users can give you tips and help. It is by far the most popular blog CMS of choice so if you are using it solely for just blogging, I don't see why it isn't a good choice.

Best of luck in your decision,

-Swapw
