I put Adsense on my new blogs less than a week ago and I have made a total of 1 cent. One click and I made 1 penny.

I made more per click on Sedo.

Is Adsense working for you?

Your blog needs promotion to generate views and more targeted traffic, also consider to add relevant content which generate adsense ads from high paying keywords.

Check for what type of Content gets more page views & visits. This will help target the ads.

Yes, it really brings me $$$. Provide a content that is related to your blogs main theme so that the ads will blend well with your content.

Thanks everyone. The blog is indexed in Yahoo search and should be in Google search anytime now. I'm working on links to get me a PR and more traffic. But still...one penny? Has anyone had a click for one penny? That doesn't even make sense to me,who pays one cent to advertise with Google?

Actually the earnings you made through adsense is through the computation of Google....

Impressions, CPM, etc....

oh yes adsense works in blogs...the more you blog & bring trafic to it, the more you get $$

I do.. It is better if you use channels coz it triggers your target keywords and encourage visitor/browser click on your blog/site.

I was continuously making between 1 and 8 cents a day before I started using custom channels. Im averaging 15 a day on one blog and expect that to increase through the holidays.

I personally dislike adsense. I don't like the look of the ads, and the way it is over used on most blogs.
I did try it once for about 1 month and I couldn't take it.
I just hate the way it looks.

I have not been able to do good with Adsense in my blog and the reasons are:
=> Poor traffic
=> Poor Ad display - only one Ad per page! (Nearly hidden!)
=> Contents cover various aspects, and mostly do not include the jackpot keywords.

The same is not true for most of my other sites. Thank God!
1cent click is what the least you can expect from Adsense. So if you are interested in Adsense for your blog, just pay attention to the above! You will see the benefit within few months.

You can either hard code it into the theme, or use a text widget and paste the code into that. Works a charm!

I don't see any feature in wordpress where can I paste the code..

In admin, go to Presentation->Widgets.

You should see your sidebar layouts there. In the bottom box, you should see a "Text 1" widget. Simply drag that into whichever sidebar you wish, then click the edit button to the right of the "text 1" text.

In the popup window, enter your title (if any) then paste the adsense code in the body. Close the popup window and hit save changes.

If the "Text 1" widget is already in use, scroll down a bit to the "Number of Text widget" option and set it to "2" (or more) then use the new text widget.
