How do I convert blogger theme to WP template?

I have got nice blogger (blogspot) template but I like to convert it to Wordpress. How do I do that? Is there any easy way e.g. software etc...?

I could be wrong, but I have never seen anything that would convert a blogger theme to wordpress. They are 2 completely different platforms.

You can however, import your posts and content from a blogger blog to a wordpress blog, and I am sure that you can find or customize a wordpress template to look almost identical, or better than your current blogger template.

much better.... i couldn't think any tool for that too.. or you can create the same design template.

from wordpress you can import your blogger blog posts and contents. but the widgets is not acceptable when you import it to blogger. I have tried it already.

I haven't tried it yet converting blogger template to wordpress but this link can really help...

You would have to export you're Blogger content (which are stored in a database), to an xml or mysql file (I think blogspot offers an option to do so). Next you'd have to code your template to work with Wordpress.
When that is done you import the exported xml or mysql into you're wordpress database (you can do this trough the wordpress admin panel), and you're set to blog again.

Yes, if you're changing the blogger template to a wordpress theme, you'll have to recode the entire thing. Check out the wordpress codex on how to design a theme.

There's a lot more work involved than just coding one page, by the way.

Wordpress has a new feature called Google APIs new importer. It can works without modifying the new blogger blog and then you can copy your posts, comments and categories from Blogger into Wordpress

Have you tried? Does this also import template or theme as well? Or just posts?
