Blogger and Google analytics question

I cant seem to get my blogger blog to accept google analytic html. i added into its own page element on main page and no detection. I added it to each postings at bottom but no detection. what am I doing wrong? anyone?

Google Analytics takes a bit for it to detect, but if you're not placing it below the <head> then it's not going to work. If it's requesting for it to be above the </body> then this is where it needs to be for a clean detection.

I haven't used analytics in a few years now, but in my understanding the html placement is very important.

i just add a html/javascript element and put the GA code and it works..

Just submit it in to body tag of your blog template by logging into your blogger account and going to edit html option through setting......and then save template. it will sure work and remember it takes around 24 hrs to detect........

I think it sucks, personally.
I have never got it to work correctly. I dont need it...too many stats programs out there.

It's true but this is one of the most accurate since you need to check your blog's stats.
