Transfer of Wordpress.com domain to personal domain for adding adsense,paid posts,JV

hey I have one wp domain.. i.e xxx.wordpress.com
it has pr 4 and really want to put some adsense into it...i have some personals domains too.http://www.v7n.com/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif

My question
1.) what will happen to my pr If i map my wp domain to a newly bought domain

2.)is adsense and paid posting allowed on wp domain even after it is mapped to other domains??

3.) after hosting on new domain which url will be redirected
( i mean will xxx.wordpress.com domain be directed to my new domain or my domain directed to xxx.wordpress.com domain)


4.) The hosting account needed to transfer the DNS ..does it have to be

I dont think you can do what you are talking about.

Just get your own domain and host it there too. Use hthe rss to blog plugin to get your old posts into a new wordpress install. Or just start another blog on your own domain.

You will take a temporary hit on your PR but will be worth it in the long term.

Godaddy is has a great easy wordpress install in their hosting connection service.

This is why I always recommend to never, ever use blogger or a free blogging service.

Pretty sure that the newest version of WP offers the import your posts option.

For sure buying your own domain for the site is a good one. If your content was good enough to earn a PR4 before it will again.

I do suggest you not place ads on the new site until the PR and traffic are established.

by default, adsense or any other scripts are not allowed on wordpress.com for security reasons.
