Networking tips?

I'm pretty new to blogging but love every minute of it so far.

I'm curious as to the most effective networking techniques.

So far I've been:

Posting quality comments on other blogs

Meeting people in relevant forums

What do you do to meet fellow bloggers in your niche?

Look for groups or conferences in your area. This can be a great way to network with other bloggers.

yeah that's true. I guess what I'm most in is small communities within the greater blogging community. Often I'll see a group of around 20-30 bloggers all connected through each other - it would be great to be part of something like that.

Sounds like you are already doing what's tried and true, the quality comments on other niche blogs is the way to go. After awhile you will see some incoming links and even other mentions to your blog. Keep it up.

Build your relationships first through commenting. There are other groups out there like mybloglog. They are all great resources to build your relationships.
Connect first and join a community, most of these communities consists of very reputable bloggers and if you're not one of them even being among them you will not be respected.

entrecard.com is a great way to meet other bloggers due to its community feel, ive met quite a few through it.

Social media sites through community like Myspace, Facebook, Friendster and Multiply is the great way to network with other bloggers and share about your products and services.

Through forums like this with SEO topic or blogging topic...I think 90% of them is a blogger or SEO specialist that can share good ideas to you regarding blogging matters...And if you want to know them better just PM them and take a conversation...

I also use this and it's quiet good. It helps in getting traffic.
