Blog posting is more like a forum where you are responsible for starting all the topics, and then will you get feedback or to interact with your readers on the subject.

Blogging is more on the expression of your thoughts, feelings towards something that interest you. Forum is a social community where you exchange or share your ideas on a certain topic to other people...

There are common elements. One is that you can pay other people to do both for you

If your talking with blog post it is much different from forum posting...Blog posting is where you post some story/article and post it in your blog...while in forum you converse/debate/give opinion in certain topic in a thread just like this...But if you were talking about blog comments it a bit like posting in forum in a way that you give reaction to a certain post but different in number of comments/post...

A big no. In blog posting, you will focus on the theme of your article while in forum posting, you can only give some advice or offer a help for the person who needs help.

Think of a blog as an underground zine. It's the writers views and opinion of a certain topic. It can be gossip, political, or just ranting and raving. The important thing is, it's the bloggers own ideas.
Also, bloggers don't always want people to comment. They aren't looking for answers or directions from the reader. It's just their own commentary. We bloggers like comments, but it's mostly just feed back.
Forum posting is all about getting other people's ideas and views.

Nope, I think he means.. "Blog Commenting"..
I think it has some similarities.. For one, both of them gives IBL's, for two, both fields gives our site the privilege to be crawled intensively. And lastly, both help us in our keyword promotion...

Correct me if I'm wrong but in a way, blog posting has similarities with forum posting. I think one is they both let you interact with other people in a certain topic

The main differences between Blogs and Forums are:
- Forums are created for discussion bewteen several people while Blogs are mainly designed for a single user input, with possibility for other people to comment.
So, Blogs are more like a simple homepage where other people may contribute with comments, but one person rules, blog owner, and blog owner can delete any comment he/she doesn't like. While, in forums, ther could be thousands of people posting topic messages and also adding comments ...
When people try to use forums for the purpose of writing a journal, their messages get lost in the stream of messages, making it hard to follow the story.
Also, people tend to post many short messages inside forums, while blogs are more used for posting longer messages (on average).
Blog owner can choose weather or not to make comments visible to the public.
