Wordpress Alexa Rank

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum and hope to contribute a lot.

I had a quick question and hope to receive feedback on this. I know that blogs have some advantages such as pingbacks in terms of traffic, but does anyone know of a good way to increase the Alexa rank on a blog or wordpress powered site? To observe, my blog is located here:

gamedrift.com

It has been up a while and we do receive a fair amount of traffic, but anything that would specifically make the Alexa rank stronger would be great. Thanks everyone.

The only way to increase your alexa rank is to get more people visit your site who have alexa toolbar installed, doesn't whether it a wordpress powered site or drupal powered site.

One way to elevate your Alexa rank (should you deem it worth the effort and expense, which many agree it isn't) is to buy some traffic from Asian countries. Apparently, the Alexa toolbar is very common in these countries and a high number of visitors will have it installed. You can buy this sort of traffic at DigitalPointless for a few dollars.

Alexa rank is about as useful as nun at a gangbang so, frankly, I wouldn't waste your time. Put in a bit of extra time and effort a develop some original, valuable, even amusing content and you might do yourself a few more favours in the long term than mincing about with Alexa ranking.

alexa is not accurate... so don't bother yourself..

While Alexa is useless to most in the know, there are many advertisers out there that use your rank to judge your ad space's worth. Dumb I know, but they do.

Do you have your site set as your home page?
Do you have the IE toolbar or Firefox Add-on?
Have your family and close, supporting friends done the same?

Some say that adding one of their badges to your site will also help. Since it sends them a message every time it loads. This sounds good, but I'm not sure if it's true. Couldn't hurt though.

Have you heard of IzeaRank. If you are blogging that's one of the best ways to show your popularity in the blogosphere.

I think you shoudn't waste your time focusing in Alexa however if you improve your web in SEO criteria and your visitors, your position in Alexa will increase.
