How do you organise your blog reading?
If you write a blog then chances are you read quite a few too. I know I do. My bookmarks folder is currently bursting under the weight of all the other blogs I check on a regular basis. I wondered what strategies you fellows use to arrange your blog reading? Do you use a feed reader? A desktop version? Or a web based reader? Until now, I've simply clicked through the list in my bookmarks (monumentally inefficient, I realise) but am now looking at ways to streamline the process with an RSS feed reader. Any recommendations?

Same here, as I also use Google Documents for keeping notes and writing posts, Google Reader is a perfect fit.

I use Bloglines. For my non-daily reads.
I have all my subscriptions categorized by their standard topics. ie...Hummor, Politics, Fashion, Gossip, Make Money, Investing, GLBT and so on.
The one's I know update every day, are in a folder in my Firefox Bookmarks (DR-Blogs).
Hope that inspires you.

I am not actively a blog site, I prefer to check in at Digg every so often through out the day, and then I proceed to avoid every political topic and look for the good submissions.

Bah, I just noticed an grammar error on my post, I meant to say, I am not actively subscribed to a Blog Site.

Google Reader is one.
I organize my bookmarks too - depending on the category of the blogs. As far as streamlining goes, I drop blogs that rarely update (or their updates are like days and weeks behind other blogs). The more informative and fresh a blog is, the higher it is on my blog priority list.

Instead of subscribing, I usually add them to my blog's own blogroll so they're easily accessible to me.

I use Netvibes - www.netvibes.com By far the best RSS Feed organizer out there. Split your blog reading down into niches via the use if tabs - 'web design' 'seo' etc ... Give it a try

I'm not a big fan of Google reader. I have tried it, left it, tried it again, and then left it for good. I just don't like the design. Believe it or not, i use the New York Time! They have a section that lets you add RSS feeds and organize the feeds by page. Each page then shows you the headlines from all the RSS feeds you have subscribed to. It makes for really quick headline scanning w/o having to click on each of your blog bookmarks.
