Blogger Or Wordpress???
People, does anyone actually know, in the long run, the pros and cons of those two, as far as making money out of blogs is concerned?I heard someone say that blogger is more customizable. Any thoughts?

I like Blogger. It's a great easy blog for newbies. WordPress has addon features that allow you to do almost whatever you want with a blog.

Blogger if you wanna test things out. Wordpress if you want yourself built with brand, very important in the long hall. I wouldn't recommend Wordpress to start though, Blogger first always. If you still like it after a while then Wordpress.

I concur with everyone above to start off with Blogger if this is your first time venturing into blogging. Try your hand in customizing the template, learn to optimize it and other finer details.
Afterwhich if you feel blogging is something you love to do, then get yourself a small hosting package and migrate to Wordpress. Not to worry though cos you can easily transfer all your old post from Blogger to your new Wordpress.
Some key strengths of Blogger:
- easy to setup
- simplicity in usage
- Google owned thus some slight added bonus
Some key strengths of Wordpress:
- highly customizable template and features
- tons of user plugins to incorporate
- most importantly.. it belongs to YOU!
Those are just some points on both platforms although there are much more. Hope that helped you in your decision though.
Cheers!

Blogger is good if you want to start a basic blog and share your story with the world.
Wordpress.com supports categories, blogger.com does not.
If you like to do a lot of experimentation with your template, blogger.com gives a direct access to your template, Wordpress.com does not. With blogger.com you can have your own template, with Wordpress.com you can not. The reason apparently are realted to security concerns. However, the other side of the story is that whatever modifications are possible at Wordpress.com, they are a lot cleaner and you do not have to redo it all over again, simply because you decided to change your template (ask me!). And a lot of additions, deletions in the sidebar are still possible. Creating links in the sidebar, for example. You can simply define the category and add links to them. You won’t have to redo it with a change in template. While with Blogger.com, you must manually change the template code with html and then redo it with a template change. Any customization of blogger.com template requires some minimal knowledge of HTML. Wordpress.com provides nice interface. But if you just want the control over HTML of your blog, well go for blogger.com!
(WORDPRESS FREE DISCUSSED OVER HERE, THE SELF HOSTED ONE IS THE BEST)
I personally would go for Wordpress, its easy and simple to use.

Custom installation of WordPress gives you the ability to customize anything. But as for WordPress.com blogs are concerned, yes they are not customizable and they don't even allow Adsense Then Blogger.com is the best option to choose since it allows Adsense too.

Blogger is 10 times better than the Wordpress.com blogging platform. But the Wordpress script (that you host on your server) is 10 times better than Blogger, since it allows you to be customized to almost no limits.

Personally I have just dove right in with Wordpress. If you understand basic concepts of Internet Marketing then Wordpress shouldn't be a problem. I have not found it really confusing to run at all. In my opinion, you should always spend time up front and you'll reap the rewards in the end. Starting with something you have no intentions of keeping seems like a waste of time for me. There are plenty of helpful people on the internet if you just get totally lost. But for the most part, Wordpress seems pretty much self explanatory.
