I am using twitter as a tool not only for establishing relationships with readers and colleagues, but for pimping the articles I write on my blog as well. Twitter has become one of my most important tools in my arsenal.

How do you do that using Twitter?

I can never seem to find anything of interest on there.

It took some time, but I eventually configured my follow list to only contain those people who either write something interesting, or who deal with content related to my niche which is Writing About WordPress. I have also noticed that many many other bloggers also have a twitter account. So if I come across a blog I like, I look for their twitter account and follow them because the chances are pretty good that they will write some interesting things and share interesting links.

I've also used my twitter account as an RSS feed in a way. I have a link on my blog where people can follow me on twitter and they can be kept updated as to what is going on on my blog. So now, I can just chat away on twitter, talk with fellow colleagues who also write or deal with WordPress on Twitter or I can send out links to blog articles I have written or share some cool links.

Hell, if you follow the right people and make them all relevant towards the content you write for a website, you can get breaking news from Twitter versus RSS. Speaking of, Twitter makes for a great real time RSS tool as well. For instance, if there is an earthquake somewhere, the chances are extremely high that you'll hear about it first on twitter versus anywhere else.

twitter is like tea party where you know no one,and you start talking with the one who smile ,then end the party with some1 else
for promotion keep talking day after day about ur site blog or do as i did sign account under your site name
when you post msg in all your follower the msg will appear
10 followers who have 10 followers = 100 people reading ur msg

Twitter is now on the iPhone list! I just installed it but haven't used it yet. Might be a good way to expand the friend list... we'll see.
