Adsense Placement

Hi all,

I am interested in setting up some Adsense for my site but I first wish to get the support/opinions from other people.

My first question is should I get Adsense? At the moment I have no ad system at all and basically no money making possiblities from my blog, so I would like to put something on it, but is Adsense the way to go? Maybe a mixture between two companies?

My second question is what types of ads (Graphics/texts/skyscrapers etc.) should I place and where? I am rather new to the ad world and I am not sure what positions my ads should be placed in. Above the first post? In between some posts on the front page? Sidebar? I really wouldn't have a clue.

The link to my blog is in my sig and any help will SURELY be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

I would recommend placing them in the sidebars, upper right or upper left corner. The real question is, while Adsense can bring in $$, do you have the traffic to support bringing in that money? I would focus on getting high volume traffic in, and then go for adsense.

In my experienced, ads that are placed at the top will have a lot of clicks.

notte: 3 ad units only per page and 3 link units also per page .. dont put adsense together with other ad programs, you will get banned if seen by google support

This is my advice for you. EXPERIMENT.

Set a place then observe your stat if it was clickable or not, if its not then place it in another location. Basically it was depending on the structure of your page.

Based on my experience, I get more clicks when I place my ads on the upper part of my blogs because they are more noticeable by my visitors.

Text ads (retangular, same background as your template) in between the post and skyscrapers at your sidebar.
