It depends on my mood, but I used pen names in order for me to protect my privacy.

I use my first name and last initial, but I am sure if someone wanted to find out who I was they could easily do a little digging to find me.

It depends on you if you want to use your real name there's no problem with that some people uses pen name or nick name just to protect there own privacy matters but I used my real name to my blog because I think I do not have problem with that.

Yes, but not really. Dosh Dosh is a big blog but the blogger is only known by the name of Maki.

It is depend and i believed that if you are able to make quality post, the real name is not that important. Of course, if you are using your real name, that's nothing wrong

If you are the type that argues and flames and insults online I don't recommend you use your real nale. Otherwise unless you are a very ttractive women there's no problem.
You just have to learn how to deal with the wackos.
In an old business I had in the 90s I did a local cable TV comercial that only plaed in a hundred thousand homes. I was bombarded by calls and letters and people stopping me on the street. People recognized my voise when i was talking on the phone.
More recently I was interviewd on court tv and I got hundreds of emails for days. I personly do put my real name out there and I'm working to brand my name and market it but it is a sacrifice.

My username relates to my real name, so it is NOT hard for me to introduce it to my readers...

its more of personnel choice i would say. I prefer not to use a real name though. using a catchy or unique name gives you a better chance of being listed and remembered better, instead of being known as John or George. I mean considering there are so many John's and George's blogging its not really interesting.
like the default wordpress theme tag line - "yet another wordpress blog". i think blog from yet another John sounds boring...
and there are privacy concerns, always. no i prefer using an alias.

I agree with this. Although I am using real name now at my main blog, I still maintain my user name (which I am using here) on my blogspost blogs. If one decides to use a pen name, here is a post where you can find useful tips in choosing one - How to Choose an Attractive Pen Name.
Good luck!
