Wordpress 2.61 ??

Ok wordpress 2.6 (the update duh) sucks. So many bugs I can't use my blog right anymore, half of my plugins don't work either UGH! So I'm trying to fix everything, have been for over 4 hours and i'm not even close, and i come across this blog post about wordpress 2.61 LOL it's so true it's funny.

Here's my question, does anyone use that Auto Upgrade Plugin? I don't want to unless it wont mess up everything for me every time!

I have used the Auto Upgrade plugin before but I don't care for it now. it is a great option for someone who does not know how to upgrade. Plus with anything there is no guarantee that it won't mess something up, same thing with manually upgrading your Wordpress blog.

I don't have any problem so far... it depends on how you upgrade..

I suppose 2.6.1 was inevitable. I mean, the WP team did the same thing with the 2.5 series. As far as I know, the 2.6 series has a lot of bug fixes, but I'm still using 2.5.1.

I would hate it if I paid money to have custom plugins designed for 2.5.1 and then they not work on 2.6.

I upgraded to 2.6 the other day. The Automatic Update Plugin worked fine for the process. Most of the plugins I use had updates as well. (Which WPAU handled quite nicely)

The only problem I had was with the FireStats update. Somehow I lost 25% of my uniques and pageview totals during the process. I wasn't too pleased about that!

Other than that, the whole process was quite smooth.
