Lightbulb CSS Problem. Hover over links appear different from IE to other browser

CSS Problem. Hover over links appear different from IE to other browser

In ie and only ie, the cursor hovering over these text links(1.) or the background image (2.) changes into the "I" shaped one rather than the pointer(hand). This problem can be fixed by using <a></a> tags inside the <li> or <div> box. But i need to it to be on the outside because i want to link the whole block of the li(1.) and div(2.)

1.

<?php
$navigation_set = get_table_data('navi_primary');
while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($navigation_set)) {
echo "<li>";
echo "<a href=" . $row['address_name'] . ".php" . ">" . $row['menu_name'] . "</a>";
echo "</li>";
}
?>

2.
<a href="index.php"><
div id="hdflashgames_title">
</div>
</a>

Thank you

-Hank

Why not just put the cursor CSS statement in your styling for your div's and li's?

Yea i thought about that and i tried like such:

1.
#navi_primary li a:link {color: white; text-decoration:none;}
#navi_primary li a:visited {color: white; text-decoration:none;}
#navi_primary li a:hover {color: white; text-decoration: underline; font-weight:bold; cursor: pointer;}
#navi_primary li a:active {color: white; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer;}

#hdflashgames_title a:link {color: white; text-decoration:none;}
#hdflashgames_title a:visited {color: white; text-decoration:none;}
#hdflashgames_title a:hover {color: white; text-decoration: underline; font-weight:bold; cursor: pointer;}
#hdflashgames_title a:active {color: white; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer;}

pinkfluffybunny, he might not want it to be global on every P element (or li).

I fixed most of the problems by using cursor: pointer;

But on ff, when i click someowhere on the page (except image and links), the type blinker thing turns on.

Does anyone know what had caused this?

Weird, I've never had any problems with this. It might just be how FF treats different block-level elements and it may have a restriction on using the cursor types for that element.
