Caching flash files

I'm thinking about adding a flash file to this site that I'm doing. My question is in regard to a type of 'preloading'. I'm thinking that this flash file is going to be in the 100k + range which isn't a problem for broadband, but 56ker's might have issues.

If I have a page with some fairly lengthy text that should be read before going on the flash page, can I put a 5 x 5 flash clip at the bottom with a load movie command and while they're reading the paragraph text, the swf can be preloading but not being visibly used. And when they go on to the next page... it will be a instantaneous load... instead of having to wait.

Has anyone tried this?

Is this possible?

You could try to load the object on page 1 using width=0 height=0. That should preload the file into cache. So when the user goes to page 2 the flash should be preloaded and play automatically. Only problem would be audio. You may have to add a param that mutes out the audio if you are using audio in your flash file.

I am not sure how the browser will react if the first image does not fully load if the click on to page 2.
