What do you call this??

I've seen on sites that they'll have things being able to be clicked but you don't leave the main page...

something like onclick(showmain) hide(??) etc...


am i making sense..should i show an example?

i want to know how to do this through Dreamweaver.

okay, you see the top right nav over there where it says Main, News, DVD etc...when you click on those tabs it just displays in that content box...the main page doesn't change at all.

really? it doesn't for me..do you see the top right box i'm talking about with the tabs (News, Reviews, DVD, Box Office)?? click those tabs..and once you do, nothing but the content box changes for me..that's what i'm talking about...not the ones at the very top but the ones next to that Alien Vs Predator thing.

That's done with javascript. My guess it *can* be done with Dreamweaver, but it's probably not the easiest thing to do. You might be able to find an example or tutorial on a javascript resource site somewhere.

I see what you are talking about now. It doesn't work in Firefox, though. Can't you just view source and play with the code they used to see how it's done?
