Mod rewrite problem?

i cant get the mod rewrite to work. ther has been some previous postings about it before, read those , still aint working.

My htacess file looks like this and its uploaded directly in the directory /forum.

i have changed the include files all three.

After uploading the files and changing the text, i went to my forum and the urls are changed to html but when i click on a link , it doesnt show me the content of the url. Any one knows what i could be doing wrong ?

Got it fixed took me a whole day. Apperently one still listed htaccess file was still listed on the server, i had the option in flashfxp my ftpclient not listed for showing hidden files so it never showed the other .htaccess files. Its working now if anyone else needs a hand jsut give me a pm.
