City/State Database??
Does anyone have a list of major US cities and the states they are located in?
I'm looking for just a 2 column exel spreadsheet or something like that...with city and corresponding state.
Any help would be great.

I can send you a database of US zip codes. The table contains City/State/ZIP, current as of 1999.
What format?

Hey, no problem. I found something even better. Click around, you'll find lots of goodies.
Also some US Census records are very useful (include Counties)
If you still prefer my file, leave a note here.

Hey.. don't worry about it..
I found a class to search for zipcodes and distances between - which includes the file also. Thanks though.

wow.. totally missed your post littleFella
The one I found has just the zipcode, latitude, and longitude.. then includes a class to access the database. You can search for distance between zipcodes, or find zipcodes within a certain distance of a zipcode.

A file like that bought from USPS was over $100 the last time I checked.
Now, if I could inexpensive driving directions software to plug into my programs that would make me happy.
