Yeah sorry for the impatience, this forums super active so I was hoping for a reply sooner. (it's been a few hours now)
Anyway ... if anyone can help on the above it would be appreciated.
Also - Are there any other ways, apart from "no right click scripts" to make images hard to rip?

It's pretty slow here on weekends.
The only way I know of to protect images is to watermark them. There really isn't a way to keep people from getting them.

You can get scripts that will provide the image without revealng the url. You might want to put it in your stylesheet if you can not run such a script. Then they would have to look at your sylesheet to fid it. All I can think of right now. For the scripts go to someplace like ci-resources.com
Nice watermark. Best of luck with your site.

I would love to get someone to watermark over 250 images but that isn't being very efficient, but then again these pics are very rare, and exclusive - if there isn't a very good way to protect them do you suggest its worth investing all that manual time to water mark all those images?! ... anyway .. i'll try the script you speak of, thanks seo.

If the pictures are that important, and you don't want to take chances, watermark them individually. Or better yet, don't even put them online.

No, the point is to have them online for next week. Instead of individually watermarking each image (theres over 200), I thought a PHP script could do it, but the problem is the script Im using reveals the image url, and so anyone could download the non-watermarked image.

Yea, that's my point. If someone really wants them, they are going to get them.

I have found an alternative, there are some programs that can watermark all images in a folder at the click of a button. Saves alot of time. Anyone interested here's the program: http://www.soft32.com/download_25962.html

I posted 2 PHP scripts to watermark images. One watermarks on the fly without overwriting the actual file of original picture, the other does overwrite the original file.
Both listings are pretty well commented, so you can understand what's cooking.

Is this what you are going to do to your pictures?
Transparency set to 50%

Yeah something similar to the above.
I think Stephen has found a nice script which can autowatermark a ton of images so we are just looking into that.

Cool. I would be grateful for a link, always interested in good stuff.
Incidentally, I will be developing a little module for an unrealated program (for Windows) that will use a couple of ImageMagic dll libraries to do some watermark batch processing. I may compile it as an executable later on and post it here. It seems that people are looking for this type of functionality.
