open iFrame link in a new tab in browser! HeLP!

Okay i know iframes are made to do the opposite, but for my purpose i need to know how to have a link that is located within an iframe be able to be opened in a new tab within the users browser.

the iframe contains external fed pages through javascript. all is great as a person can click a link and then next page loads within the iframe, but there is an issue as the final page in the loops is a checkout page and we want this page to open in a new tab so the user can see the https: and feel secure.

is there any way to control links within an iframe to open in a new tab?

just put the attribute: target="_blank" in the <a href> tag. Even if it is within an iframe it will open in a new window/tab on the browser.

the iframe is loading pages from another website for which i have no control and cannot edit the links. I would like to somehow control all links within the iframe to open in a new tab. there must be an iframe control that does this even if the pages being loaded from another site have links set to open in _self.

you will not be able to control the content of a remote iframe.

^^ I don't quite understand what you mean by that but:
- Hades was referring to adding the target="_blank" to links
- me, well...I suppose I wasn't very clear; what I meant is that when displaying a page from an other domain in an iframe you will not be able to access that page because of the same origin policy which makes it impossible of adding the target="_blank" to links inside that iframe using javascript.
