Good place to learn PHP?

I'm going to take the time to teach myself PHP finally

. I've found myself being restricted to certain projects because of my lack of PHP coding knowledge

. And I have a really cool project idea that isn't THAT hard to do but I do want to get it going.

Web Monkey has some starter tutorials that look good. I intend to learn some myself soon and will be spending time there.

But PHP is just a part of the story. If you want make created good PHP sites there are other technologies you should get familiar with; SQL and JScript being just some of them.

I am already familiar with MySQL. I had planned on learning PHP over the summer, but as usual things kept happening. Luckily I did manage to teach myself how to use and run a MySQL database.

If you have any programming experience. Use www.php.net, otherwise I would suggest getting a book.

Personally I am fed up with buying books as I have so many of the damned things built over time.
