Weird ie8 issue!?

I thought we had got over the i.e. problems, seeing as we are 2 versions later than ie6, but it seems Microsoft still like to create some issues!! The following page works fine in chrome, FF2 & 3, but when you view it in ie8 half of the objects are missing?!

I have just checked and it validates fine; validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3a%2f%2fwww.mortgage-adviser-bournemouth.co.uk%2fmortgages-in-bournemouth.aspx but when you run it there are definitely issues in ie8!! Has anyone come across anything like this before?

URL is: mortgage-adviser-bournemouth.co.uk/mortgages-in-bournemouth.aspx

Just from a quick glance, you might have a problem with the layers (z-indecies)

Amazingly enough, it works (for the most part) in IE7.

Thats what my initial thought was, but I have checked and can't see a problem with them. Also why would every other browser interpret it correctly?

I have found a way to force ie8 into compatibility mode.

LONG LIVE I.E. (Yeah, right!)

I have seen a difference in how IE8 displays between my vista x64 box and my xp pro laptop. I have given up for the most part on getting them to line up just right.
