Please help me find the right script
I'm developing a site that would be kind of like doing an online multiple choice exam. Upon arriving at the site a user should get a (randomly selected?) short story with a multiple choice question below it. After selecting his or her answer, the user will be brought to a new page that displays a poll result of how other users responded to the previous question as well as the next short story and question.
The other thing the script would need to do is allow users to sign up for an account and submit their own short stories and poll questions.
Does anyone know of a script that would do this? I've looked at several script databases, but haven't found one that works quite right yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

nope never seen this, you need a poll system, a membership system, and a member-contributed content posting system.
You web server will require server-side scripting support, in PHP for example, and also database support would be helpfull, like MySQL. Both of those are available on windows AND linux hosting, and are the most popular, als they are free which helps keep hosting costs down.
So good luck with all that, and we'll help if you get stuck.
Also I (and lots of other's here) could do all this for you.
I would be happy to do so too. (Follow first link in my sig below, and/or send me a PM or email me).

Thanks for the info LazyJim. To clarify my needs... I'm basically looking for a script that is like what HotorNot.com does, except instead of submitting photos, users enter text. I know that hotornot type scripts are out there but I haven't seen one that does the same thing with text. Maybe the easiest thing would be to modify an existing script.
If this is the case, I may need someone's help in doing this.

I think that you need a CMS. A CMS would have membership management, polls, and artices. Might be what you need.
