Most embarassing code mistakes

I'm posting this thread because I'm not exactly an expert with .css, .html, .php, javascript, etc., and usually make the dumbest mistakes possible.

I'm currently trying to match my vBulletin Forum skin with a heavily modified version of my Joomla skin. For this I required a javascript date function at the very top of my header for continuity sake and while it works alright for the most part, I've noticed a rather embarrassing issue.

The date on my header as of this posting is Monday November 2th, 2009, rofl I just hope nobody reads the date out loud when visiting my site or they'll cover their monitor in spittle.

...guess I'm gonna have to address the issue.

Just out of curiosity, what are some of your more embarrassing, public, coding mistakes?

Forgetting to place
Code:
;
at an important area of my code and tearing my hair out trying to look for it. I even asked my "professional" friends to check it and they could not find an error. It took me a week or so before finally spotting that error. (It's not really public, but it is an embarrassing error.

Depending on your point of view, there can be quite a lot of stuff 'wrongly coded' on a website, but the topper in my opinion is people forgetting closing tags altogether. It's just one of those things that can be easily overlooked when you're coding a website.

You can avoid those kind of mistakes by always validating your website here

IF ($var = "this")
instead of
IF($var == "this")

That will have you running around forever

lol at the last post. yeah that was true to all programmers. if programmers have the same laptop as me that was already at an old age, probably it will end up in rebooting the os.

i mean if it was in a form of a loop
while($var="this")
instead of
while($var=="this")

while in a form of
IF ($var = "this")
instead of
IF($var == "this")
was like finding a needle in haystack

T0d are you still using an uppercase "IF" ?
I think function names are case insensitive.

using !#/usr/bin/perl instead of #!/usr/local/bin/perl and being frustrated of CGI/Perl hostings and contacting support
