"Web Poll" and "Latest From The Forums"
I'm going to hire a professional web designer for a cheap price of $100. I am trying to run a fan site for the New Jersey Nets and decided I need a professional design as I get more members. But he charges extra for features, two things that I requested. They are: a web poll that I can easily edit and change as the season goes on (votes reset with changes) and a little table that has "Latest From The Forums" which would automatically have the five newest topics listed. I was wondering if those are hard to make, and would someone who can make them help me do it? Thank you!

What forum are you using? I believe both VB and PHPBB have a hack for showing the latest topics anywhere you want them to. Try http://www.v7n.com/scripts/ to see if you can find a free web poll - most of these are 1/2 hour at most to setup and free.
