PHP 4.3.10 or 5.0.3? Current Opinions please

Hi all,

I'm starting some small scale experimental e-commerce development using PHP-MySQL-Apache. I have installed PHP4 because the php site said that 4 was the most stable.

Should i stick with this or use php 5 in combination with the latest apache http server and the latest MySQL engine?
If anyone has any comments on this please fill me in.

All the latest books are about php5 so should i go with this alltogether?

Also, is there any complications with all the current latest versions of the three?

Cheers
