Website attacks
In the last few days, my website has been taking a hammering with many attempts to do php mail header or sql insertion attacks.

Other than using mod_security, what are other peoples methods of keeping their site secure?

Also, what systems do you use to alert yourself of a current attack?

monitor your access_log and error_log files...

It's typically a few IPs that are doing this... could be a trojan probing for known vulnerbilities...

You can ban the IPs...
