Webshots Script

Does anyone know where I can download a webshots type script?

I want to be able to upload images and create albums and stuff like that.

Anyone know of something like this?

The best thing for that is free!!

Try Coppermine. It rocks. Mine isn't a gallery, but thanks for the plug!

Oh, and I will need to change the listing before the first. I got my hands on a good graphic artist and I'm not letting go, either.

Check it out! (It's not finished, but you'll get the idea)

Michael, don't use frames in your website. please don't do that. for numerous good SEO reasons

Search engines will come up with pages like this: http://www.imagemiracle.com/miracle/faq-text.php
Graphics look great though!

Yeah, I probably need to kill the frames, but I sure like the effect... it's so clean and tidy.

But, now you present me with a logical reason not to use them. DAMMIT!!!

And it makes perfect sense, too.

Oh, well...

As much as I HATE frames, if you're going to use them the script below will disallow people from just pulling up a page like Ferre mentioned. Best thing to do is just get rid of 'em.

<script>
//if not in frames
if (parent.frames.length==0)
//CHANGE "index.htm" to the URL of your main frame page
window.location.replace("index.htm")
</script>

Nah, I'm just gonna killem...

I will simply need to find out how to make the menu "float" so it is always in the same relative position.

Anybody have a clue? I figure it's javascript, but I'm no javascript expert.

I'm not even sure how to google it...

Thanks, south...

Now, I've just gotta pin it down...

I'm not real big on using javascript, simply because so many users are blocking it now.

Here's a direct link to a "static" menu that stays in sight.

http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/...aticmenu.shtml

Yeah, I hate that people are so easily able to block it now. I think it degrades OK though

I personally would stay away from javascrip for the menu. you could use css to position the menu and pull the menu from another, easy to edit, file.

Yeah, I'm gonna use css positioning, I guess. That javascript they give there doesn't work, oddly enough. I guess they screwed something up there, because it works on their site, but not on my local server. Weird.

I'll figure something out. Worst case scenario: It will just be static. I suppose I can live with that, but I hate to compromise things like that. It's all about the details, you know...

Looks pretty cool, but can you have lots of people using it?

I want people to be able to sign up and make an account with the script...

That is what you need and it costs nothing.
