The lists in the Kubrick theme, (what yours is based off) comes with specialized lists that show those specials bullets in Firefox. IE can't show them so it defaults to normal bullets.

The code for them states:

doncha love those little quirks! Firefox is so easy to code for, everything seems to work as expected, then you have to go break it all for IE!

IE is way behind the times.

It's overly picky and if it's not perfect to old-times standards it just screws it all up.


FireFox on the otherhand 'assumes' more but makes pages look better and function better.

It can be done with graphics as a background, I've done it many times. It would appear the same.
