phpbb forum problem

hi there!

I have problem with my forum!
My visitors cannot upload their avatars from computer!
When they try to upload avatar this happens:

I know that i must change permissions with my FTP client, but i dont know how!!!
Can you, please, help me????

if you are getting in your ftp so that you can see the real files and folders etc etc you need to right click on the folder and click properties then select it in there
