help with style css please

Hi Guys

I have a slideshow on my site that is too wide, 931px x 300px. I want to reduce the width by 50% to 450px x 300px, and along side it create a text area to add some text, not to run in turn with the slideshow.

The code from the style css for the section I wish to alter is here

#header .row-3 {
padding:0px 88px 0 0;
text-align:right;
}

I'm not sure if I am allowed to put my url here but if you need to see the site you can get there via my blog.

Many thanks for your help.

Huff

Hi

Thanks for responding. My blog can be accessed via the link next to my user name on this thread, once there click the header to take you to my site. I'm not sure the rules allow for me to paste my site url here.

It has just occurred to me that a solution may be to insert 2 columns in this row, one for the slideshow and the other for text, am I on the right track ? and if so could someone offer some advice

Huff

Hi

Removed the 88px padding all that does is make the slide show fill the full pane. I did try increasing to reduce the width of the slideshow but i was unable to do anything with the resulting space that created.

I have tried this so far in the source code:

<div class="fleft"><img src="/images/contact.jpg" width="481" height="300" alt="blah-blah" /></div><div class="fright"></div>

This leaves the space between the <div class="fright"> and </div> to insert a slideshow...this does seem to work ok. I would rather have a text field to use to the left of the slideshow but if I have to settle for an image for my sites contact details then it will have to do.

Can anyone offer an alternative approach ?
